Welcome to Biohazard Painting

Wow my first post - what to write?
Well I guess the most appropriate thing would be to introduce myself and tell you about why I think you should read my blog in the future.

My name is Jannick Læssøe, but is often just called Jay among my friends. I live in Denmark (Small country in Europe, in case you didn't know) and have a tendency to use a lot of my spare time painting miniatures, thinking about painting miniatures or just driving my girlfriend mad, talking about painting miniatures.

I have been collecting Warhammer 40k since 1995 - I still have my 2nd edition box and the OLD models that came with it. I have maybe had 10 battles of Warhammer Fantasy and 40k - so not the biggest gamer out there. But gaming takes 2 - and often I just didn't know anyone close by to game with.

Well enough history - I have always been painting since I got my first box of miniatures and still enjoy it a lot. Painting is a great way of relaxing and just getting stress out of your head. I am not the fastest painter, as I tend to be more interested in the process than getting an army done quickly. This can really be a huge problem for me sometimes, as I might have the same models standing on my desk longer than they should.

So my goal with this blog is to show off my work instead of just painting for my storage cases. It would be great to get in touch with the community and become a better painter in the process. I also hope to do some tutorials!

To kickstart this blog, I thought it would be great to write about a brand new game I received yesterday:  Sedition Wars - Battle for Alabaster from Studio McVey.

Stay tuned for more soon :-)
